The John Richards Band

John Richards is one of the most covered songwriters on the scene and has been so for more years than any of us care to remember. He started writing and performing in his teens and his work has been covered by such luminaries as, Paul Downes, Phil Beer, Fairport Convention, Mike Silver, Show of Hands and many, many others.

John considered that his songwriting days may be over but happily, the enforced layoff caused by Covid proved to move him on to greater things and two more albums have been recorded and issued. The gig will feature not only his newer material but also some of his, and our, old favourites.

John Richards: vocals, guitar, bouzouki and baritone guitar

Emma Jones: vocals

Jim Sutton: double bass, bass ukulele, keys, concertina and vocals

Kath Ord: violin and vocals
